Despite berating his Fox News colleague George Will on his Friday show, calling the Washington Post columnist and "Killing Reagan" critic "a hack," Bill O'Reilly just had to have the last word on the veracity of his latest "Killing" book Monday night.
In the final segment of "The O'Reilly Factor," viewer letters are usually read on air and last night O'Reilly enthusiastically announced that he "got many, many letters about the George Will interview on Friday."
O'Reilly first read Henry from South Carolina's letter admonishing the host for his "disgusting" interview, asking, "How about a bit of civility?"
Of course, on Friday, O'Reilly responded to Will's scathing op-ed excoriating "Killing Reagan" as “a tissue of unsubstantiated assertions” and calling out the Fox News host for failing to conduct actual research, slamming his work as a "no fact zone." Billo didn't take too kindly to the new spin on his "no spin zone."
"You’re a hack! You’re in with a cabal of Reagan loyalists who don’t want the truth to be told!” O'Reilly yelled at Will during an interview on Friday.
Explaining away his behavior to viewer Henry on Monday's program, O'Reilly said, “there are two kinds of people in the world: those who confront deceit head-on, and those who take other avenues.”
O'Reilly then went through a series of letters, both critiquing and praising his Will interview, but repeatedly stood by his outburst.
"You may have noticed Mr. Will does not appear on "The Factor," O'Reilly said of the frequent "Special Report," guest. "That's because his elitist presentation doesn't fit our format," he explained.
