2.	"Little Mothers" were female friends of the Jocks who served as surrogate mothers. They were not usually regarded as sexual objects.
3.	"Guidos" were the town's version of an adolescent underclass, youngsters who openly rejected the college-and-corporate-success ethic of Glen Ridge and lived the Greaser style. "Giggers" were the town freaks, so named because they called their parties "gigs."
