All week, the TV Land/TV Guide Greatest Episodes of All Time Marathon (beginning 10 p.m., Nick at Nite) unspools some of the tube's best sitcom and drama series episodes, as chosen by the aforementioned entities. Kicking off tonight's five episodes is the poll's topper, the "Chuckles Bites the Dust" installment of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (10 p.m.), followed by the cult-classic "It May Look Like a Walnut!" episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (10:30 p.m.). E T C. David Lynch is reportedly following up his disappointingly received feature film "Lost Highway" with a return to television. According to a story in the New York Times, the "Twin Peaks" co-creator will direct a series of commercials for the Clear Blue Easy home pregnancy test. The storyboards for the ads, created by the Ogilvy and Mather agency, supposedly depict a woman waiting for the result of the test while "yes" and "no" flash surrealistically from her clock and bathroom fixtures. Tune in nine months later when she gives birth to the baby from
"Eraserhead." All times are EDT unless noted. Check local listings. BLUEGLOW FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 27, 1997 Bookmark http://www.salonmagazine.com/media/blueglow.html |
