Acceptance Speech
I would like to accept this on behalf of my friends, family and co-workers who have patiently listened to my daily dramas. I am sure they would like to thank all you fellow mothers for providing me with a new outlet to share my stories. I must thank my only sister who taught me to see the drama in our everyday lives and to, most importantly, laugh about it. Thank-you to my son whose small vocabulary of "thank-you" taught me more during our days in the hospital than anything, and to his sister who at 3 is already developing a wonderful flare for the theatrical aspects of life. And most of all, to my husband who comes from a decidedly undramatic lineage, but has accepted the drama of our life together. By the way, did I mention that when we got home from the hospital our house guests were throwing up? Thank you to all!
