In an upcoming Rolling Stone interview, Christina Ricci admits that in high school, she was "really flat-chested, and I was considered a prude." She longed to be like the busty Hewitt. "I'm obsessed with that girl!" she says. "But [she and Sarah Michelle Gellar are] probably having less fun than me, because they have to be so happy and such good role models." Still, being a sexy teenage role model has its drawbacks: "It makes me uncomfortable -- the idea of little boys in their parents' bathrooms, jacking off to me. Yuck." So that's what they mean by "Tiger Beat." - - - - - - - - - - - - Y2K Seinfeld: Otherwise engaged "I'm just going to watch my digital watch and see what it does." -- Jerry Seinfeld on his exciting New Year's Eve plans, in Us. - - - - - - - - - - - - Funny Candidate? You can all breathe easy now. Barbra Streisand will not run for office. Ever. Amy Reiter Amy Reiter's column appears daily on the People site, Monday through Friday.
Got a hot tip? Tell Amy! On "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" Tuesday, Streisand confessed that, while she may be a person who needs people, she doesn't particularly need people to vote for her. "It's not my style," she told Rosie. "I can speak through you, and through my concerts, and through my records, and through my writing." Too bad. She probably could have won by a nose. - - - - - - - - - - - - The English impatient "I long to be left alone. I don't like being looked at." -- Ralph Fiennes channeling Greta Garbo, in the London Observer. - - - - - - - - - - - - Ling's new fling She's no angel, but it looks like she'll play one on the big screen. Lucy Liu, who plays the ferocious Ling on "Ally McBeal," has announced that she'll be joining Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in "Charlie's Angels," the movie. Think they'll try one of those Ally-esque lesbian kisses in the flick? Oh, Charlie. - - - - - - - - - - - - Monica's zipper problem "It doesn't have a zipper. I would have to tell Monica that most women like to have a zipper on their bag so they can keep their things hidden away and their secrets secret. Maybe she should know that, and maybe she should've known it before." -- Suzy Menkes, International Herald Tribune fashion editor, critiquing Monica Lewinsky's new handbag collection, in Glamour. - - - - - - - - - - - - An auction only a mother could love Going, going ... but not very quickly: Drew Barrymore's baby clothes. The actress' mom, Jaid Barrymore, who says she's a "bit estranged" from her daughter, is auctioning off Drew's duds "from the first year of her life" on Gavelnet.com. One collection includes an "undergarment with chicks and ducks, baby sleeper outfit, and white bonnet with pink ribbon and lace." Another boasts an "undergarment, one-piece outfit and pink hat with white bows." Both come with a "candid photo" and a letter of authentication from Drew's mom. Other items up for sale include an acrylic painting of Drew commissioned by Steven Spielberg, a black-and-white photo of the little star signing autographs, an "E.T." overnight bag (with luggage tag attached!) and the red cowboy hat she wore at age 6 in "E.T." (minimum bid: $49,500; current bid: nada). And here's a heartbreaker: A Christmas card autographed by Jack Nicholson, Kathleen Turner and Drew is listed as having "a slight tear on right corner, and pin hole where Drew had the card pinned on her bedroom wall." Why would a mother part with such treasures? "Drew is such a special, amazing, magical person," Jaid told the AP, "I decided to put some of her things up on the Web site to allow people to be a part of Drew's life." Oh, right, and the money. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be too much movement in the "be a part of Drew's life" market. Only a few of the items have received bids since hitting the block on Monday.
