How to use Table Talk

Visitors enter Table Talk through a link at the bottom of the author's classic essay. Log in with your real name and password. If you are a new visitor to Table Talk, you will log in with your real name, a password of your choice and then you will receive verification of receipt via email from Salon in less than one minute. Once you have received verification by email, you will need to respond by email and then you are ready to begin posting.

You will be linked to the books thread where the Classics are being discussed by readers and our visiting authors. Due to the nature of Table Talk, you have as much time as you need to compose your posts. You can even edit them after they have been posted if you wish.
